Monitoring Comprehensive Peace Agreement
(A peace audit program lunched by Population Watch in technical assistance with INHURED International)
It is our great pleasure to inform you that Population Watch and INHURED International have jointly started a nationwide monitoring of "Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA)" concluded between the Government of Nepal and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist). The peace audit program has been started from June 1, 2007 for a period of five months covering all Five Development Regions of Nepal. A host of peace monitors have been trained and deployed to closely observe the compliance of the key provisions of the CPA.
In this connection, we would like to request all concerned national and international stakeholders including NHRC, OHCHR, OCHA, UNMIN and ICRC to assist the team based in the regions in order to facilitate the monitoring initiative. Meanwhile, we would also like to request all concerned organizations/individuals to kindly furnish information regarding the incidences of non-compliance of the CPA directly to the following address:
